We believe there is a giant and exciting pool of talent out there who deserve to feel they have a chance of breaking into these industries. Industries that can often feel closed off to anyone outside of the perceived, expected talent pool.  It’s about giving under-represented talent the chance to shine and to feel supported into careers within Creative, Media and Tech. 

 

Broadening the talent pool will bring a fresh perspective, unique ideas and better results for those employers ready to think outside the box and to try new approaches when attracting diverse talent. For example, for too many years, employers have ONLY looked to universities when recruiting those looking for their early years career break.  There is so much untapped talent out there, employers need to look beyond a CV, qualifications, work experience (often only found by ‘who you know’) and to open up opportunities.

For many years there has been a complacency and a refusal to look beyond the ‘obvious’.  We have to delve deeper to recognise and celebrate talent and to support them throughout their early years journey. There are many forward thinking companies and organisations committed to looking deeper.
