This position will work with a remote Project Analyst for support but is ultimately responsible for the accounting and financial duties required to support the needs of this leading media agency. The individual must posses a strong business acumen. Your duties will include reviewing and communicating financial results to the Managing Director/SVP GM; analyzing the revenue and expenses for Business Units, clients and projects; partnering with various departments within the company to manage client requirements and needs from a financial perspective; reviewing monthly project invoices and finalizing financial scorecards and reporting packages; developing and fostering the project analyst group to continually improve and adapt to changing financial requirements; analyzing billing efficiencies, realizations and utilizations and assist in the identification of growth opportunities; reviewing and analyzing accounts payable/accounts receivable for clients; overseeing the treasury functions for the operation including co-ordinating payroll, ensuring all expenses are paid, projecting cash flow and reconciling cash balances. You must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with an accounting or finance major, possess a professional designation or are enrolled in the 5th or 6th year of an accounting program. You must also have 5 -7 years experience in finance or accounting with proven leadership experience, possess exceptional computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel, be familiar with SQL or ORACLE database systems and ability to write scripts. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal are a pre-requisite, along with proven Media experience. The ideal candidate will have an innate ability to multi-task in a very fast-paced environment and be able to demonstrate experience managing multiple projects.
